The obsession and convenience of checking time on your cell phone, has eliminated the use of a watch. Personally, the last time I wore watch was many years ago, as I had no reason to. Now I’ve found my reason: the new Louis Vuitton line of watches by Marc Jacobs.
the emprise collection
It’s called Emprise (pronounced um-preez), and it looks just as French and sexy as it sounds. This collection of black and white watches for both men and women is pure and timeless as Marc Jacobs describes it. With elegant elements of gold, precious 18k diamonds, and alligator leather straps, the talented and young designer has given us a new reason to save up our hard working money. The Emprise Collection was inspired by “luxury watches of the 70’s”, and has been in the works since 1997. Jacobs said it took so long because they kept going back to perfect the final product, and what a fabulous end result it turned out to be. The Emprise watches retail from about $10,700 to $88,000. By the looks of it, these Louis Vuitton fine watches by Marc Jacobs are well worth it.
