You probably know (and love) Philosophy’s yummy bubble bath and delicious 3-in-1 shower gels in flavors like Margarita and Cinnamon Buns.

And then there’s the Philosophy classics like the Grace line of products and the little miracle in a tub “When Hope is Not Enough” replenishing cream.

But did you know that Philosophy can also take care of your tresses? Dry, damaged hair? Too many trips to the salon for highlights? Oh and what about the summer fun of swimming in the pool and hanging out in the sun? Its all working against your dream of luxurious locks.

Philosophy Shear Splendor Hair Mask

Try Philosophy Shear Splendor Anti-Aging Hair Mask ($22). Yes, your hair ages right along with you. The Shear Splendor hair mask has peptides and a botanical butter base but what really matters is that your thirsty hair will thank you when you lather this on.

likewise beauty: summer hair styles & Sexy Katherine McPhee

Tuesday June 12, 2007 by EditorJacquie

I started using Sexy Hair® products about a year ago when I got sent samples to review. I’m hooked. They’ve got a line for every hair type and every time a glossy mag does a hair feature I always see a Sexy Hair product recommended. It’s good stuff.

This month Sexy Hair® spokeswoman Katherine McPhee is on the cover of Lucky magazine. Inside her cover shoot they go on and on about her hair…who wouldn’t want that shiny, thick mane?! The folks at Sexy Hair hooked us up with a sexy summer hairstyle trend. It’s a totally wearable style for summer events or beachy afternoons. Check out the steps below with Katherine McPhee.

likewise beauty: hair product review

Friday April 20, 2007 by Rory

Living in a city of excess its no surprise that I’m between hairstyles and stylists alike. One hairdresser barely cut a centimeter off my hair. Another stylist cut layers that looked lovely when I blew dry my hair straight but gave the appearance of a mullet when I wore it au natural.

So I’m growing it out and finding that my hair is like a New York Department of Motor Vehicles employee: angry, dry and in need of some TLC.

The ends of my hair are fragile and split while my roots are oily due to too many at-home intensive conditioner treatments. The solution? True celebrity stylist Ted Gibson and his magic hair sheets.
Ted Gibson Hairsheets solve bad hair days
Like This: Ted Gibson HairSheets

Buy This: Available at Saks Fifth Avenue ($25 for 10 sheets)

Why: They’re like Red Bull for your mid-day hair. They liven up your hairstyle for that ever so important meeting, diminish the look of dry ends, and leave an amazing wild orchid extract natural scent.

Ted Gibson Treatment Wipes Hair Sheets
Buy This: $35 for 5 sheets also at Saks

Why: The perfect replacement for my bottles of deep conditioner. They treat damaged hair by adding moisture, elasticity and strength to your hair. My coif felt as smooth on the ends and is did at the roots and gave a healthy just-out-of the salon glow rather than the appearance of an oil spill.

Ted Gibson, will you marry me?
