London Fashion Week … brought to you by 1980’s icon Pac-Man

Thursday September 18, 2008 by EditorJacquie

Giles Deacon Runway Show Spring 2009

Not that we were there in person, but if we were, we think we would have found the wacky Pac-Man helmets on the Giles Deacon runway to be a wee bit distracting. In fact, I think we would have giggled out loud.

There was lots of white, black, and yellow combos. (So Spring 2008?!) The make up featured heavy lined cat eyes. The tippy platform shoes looked fabulous with lots of straps. Check out the collection on nymag.com.

Fashion Week: Prediction

Monday September 8, 2008 by EditorJacquie

I predict that Hollywood’s classiest ladies will be sporting the frocks of Andy & Debb.

After taking one look at the Spring 2009 offerings from Korean design duo Seokwon Andy Kim and Wonjeong Debbie Yoon, I could imagine some of my favorite style icons wearing their feminine, refined pieces.

Think Katherine Heigl, Anne Hathaway, and Eva Mendes. These girls rarely disappoint on the red carpet and the sophisticated silhouettes of Andy & Debb should find their way into Hollywood closets.

Check out photos from Andy & Debb’s first showing at Mercedes Benz Fashion week at fashionweekdaily.com.

London Fashion Week Brings Back Punk

Tuesday March 11, 2008 by Konstantina

When it comes to extravagant and shocking fashions, London’s Fashion Week tops them all. Take a look at how LFW brings punk back in this year’s Autumn/Winter collections.

Luella, who’s been showing at LFW since Summer/Spring 2008 showed a punk fall line of dark colors, puffed up sleeves, and great herringbone coats.

Sexy secretaries of punk were Vivienne Westwood’s theme in her Red Label Collection. Pinstripe tailoring, tartan kilts, baggy and asymmetrical pieces make this affordable Vivienne Westwood line, a memorable one.

Another collection at London Fashion Week with a little feel of punk rock was from Bora Aksu.
